Welcome to Countryside Connection!

Welcome to Countryside Connection!

Based in England and New England with established links to an extended rural community in Vermont and many other small businesses with unique offerings throughout England, Wales, New England and other American States, including California and Florida. Visitors to our site  can access the direct links provided on each member's  listing  to partake with ease of the excellent services and products they offer in Britain and America. We are proud of our success in advising small enterprises in both countries how to work together locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to thrive and prosper.

Our valued members form a network consisting of Bed & Breakfasts, Inns, Hotels, Farmers, Country & Artisan Producers, Artists & Craftspeople, Restaurants, Pubs, Bookshops & Other Rural Small Businesses. Each one has been carefully selected for the quality of the services and products they offer.

Our Public Members who show their committment by supporting the values and quality offerings of local producers are of vital importance to all of us.

Countryside Connection was born out of the desire to offer a new kind of networking. Much is made of the term, but at its heart it simply means "getting the word out there". Making new contacts with other businesses in your area, run by people who share your ideals; for local producers to supply local business and individual consumers and for local enterprise to benefit and strengthen the communities in which we live ~ our goals are the exactly the same as yours. In addition, with mail order and online availability, members are able to expand their ties and networking to include members in other parts of the country.

Our monthly 'News and Views' category features information, experiences, networking, products and ideas from members of our community. Please return often as new input is added as it happens ~ on the farms, in their studios, bed and breakfast inns and rural businesses. Enjoy what they have to share and please send an email with anything you would like to comment upon. We would LOVE to hear what is happening in and around your own home and in the villages, towns and cities you live in!

“Keep it simple, fresh, seasonal and most importantly keep it local!!" writes Celebrity Chef, Chris Tanner. To read the complete statement he submitted for our website, please click on Chef Chris Tanner's Statement and to read all of the current news about Chris and James Tanner

We believe that networks formed by a variety of people offering accommodations, hospitality in all its forms, rural farm products and country business services ~ from tourism to agriculture ~ can create diverse economic pathways from farm field to restaurant table, from artist's loom to market stall and as a direct result, benefit all consumers who support rural business.

The combining of agriculture and tourism is a natural and rewarding one for everyone. Farmers we have close relationships with from our time in Vermont, describe "Agritourism" as a perfect marriage that benefits individuals pursuing both endeavours as well as the community as a whole. Countryside Connection has a strong foundation and history of cooperative country enterprise. We know from firsthand experience as former owners of Beckwood Pond: "An English Inn in the Vermont Countryside" the success one derives from sharing and supporting one another. Without creating a strong networking system we would never have achieved the success and international recognition we enjoyed. The connections forged are invaluable and enrich all aspects of one's personal and professional life.

The Vermont community we lived in enjoys a proud and strong agriculture history. Bonds forged with the important tourism industry have enabled many farmers to thrive in ways previously unimagined. Please take a moment to read excerpts from some of the many Testimonials we have received attesting to the benefits our Founding Members firmly believe resulted from their close ties with us and others in their rural business community.

Please take a few moments to read Heléne's personal letter, click on Letter from founder  Our business combines our expertise and experience in the most fulfilling way possible ~ using our firsthand knowledge to help and support others to grow and prosper.
